Hi ALL

I just want to drop a quick line regarding my blog about Phil. I was made aware of his departure from a number of sources including Sharon Browne and then confirmed again by Phil on his website and twitter. This tribute to him was by no means an attempt to underline Sharon or be disrespectful as some have suggested. Celtic Thunder has been and always will be a family to me. Much like when Ryan left, I placed a blog to wish him well. However none had a problem then.

I just felt I wanted to come on and write a few words about the news that was broken today about Phil Coulter.

Needless to say, I've known for a short while now that he no longer will be working with Celtic Thunder,but of course was not at liberty to mention anything until the parties involved decided to announce it to the public. Now that its been announced on his website and twitter page, I would like to take the opportunity to wish him well.

Hi there to all in the wonderful world of Celtic Thunder! I hope your all having a wonderful summer and not melting away. If your like me here in Dublin, there is little chance of that. I have had a very busy couple of months, between recording my new album "This Is The Moment" and also preparing my Autumn tour.

Things are coming together nicely and I expect to have the album ready for release by September, However it is slightly out of my hands. Either way, its coming soon. One thing for sure is my tour starts early November and I will be covering quiet some ground. I do hope to see many of you there, and promise a mixed bag of music for you all to enjoy. Music will range from the musical hits of Broadway, to well known favourites from Ireland. I will also get to sing one or two classical crossover pieces as well as one or two of my favourites from my time with Celtic Thunder!

Tickets are very reasonable and I can guarantee you will all get to meet me after each show. I really hope I can count on your support as you have never let me down to date! Thank you to Celtic Thunder for letting me post the dates and details here below.

"Lurking"

Mad week
I was lying in bed last night and was thinking to myself about all I had to do in the last week or so in New York. I head back to Ireland on the 5th of July to record the new album and touch base with a few business contacts back home. Mainly because of the fact I am hoping to get this new album released to a number of regions, including home! When in bed, I generally do all my thinking, hence why I have my ipad on my locker. Much to the annoyance of Dominique, when I wake in the middle of the night to write something down.

Where in the world is the year going? I cannot believe it is nearly July and I am getting ready to record my third album since 2005. After months of planning, negotiating, meetings and decisions, things are finally falling into place. I know an awful lot of you understand that it takes more than an idea and desire to put together an album. However it never seizes to amaze me how much time it takes to piece it all together.
Once in the studio, it all falls into place very easily, as thats when I am most comfortable....singing.

To say that we are living in historical times would be a massive understatement. When we look back on the last ten years it has been so incredible. So many things have happened in the world that has shaped a very different future for so many. Whether its the poor in Thailand who had all they owned in life washed away on that faithful day the Tsunami stroke their world, or the thousands of innocent civilians making their way to work on that sunny morning in September here in the U.S only to meet their maker instead of returning to their loved ones at home.

Hey everyone!
Thought I would just drop in and say hello to all in the world of Celtic Thunder. Ive had a fun and compact couple of weeks.
Damian arrived on my doorstep a couple of weeks back and stayed with me for 10 days. It was great to spend some time with him and just hang out without having to worry about a gig or recording to do. Hanging just as mates. I suppose now that I am flying solo, its nice to still be in contact and to know that we will more than likely be friends for live.

G'day! What a brilliant couple of weeks Ive had. To be honest when Sharon asked me to take part in the promo work in March, I was very hesitant. Simply because I had a lot to do myself and that taking, essentially a month out to go back promoting Celtic Thunder wasnt on my schedule at all! However, the thoughts of having the craic with Neil for a couple of weeks on a bus alone and a trip to the Southern Hemisphere was too hard to turn down. I also knew that I would be able to get the majority of what I needed to get done, done whilst on the road. The rest could wait............

..........Before I finish I wanna talk about Celtic Thunder. With the snippet released this week of "Heritage" it stopped me in my tracks. I forgot. I forgot what it was I was a part of, and to a huge extent, still am. I am immensely proud of what I did with the boys. This show I think is gonna be great. I had a lot of fun recording it and hope it goes multi platinum for the boys. Its my last recording with the gang so really hope it does well. Celtic Thunder have a very busy schedule ahead promoting this and I want to take this chance to wish Emmet all the best.
