I love the songs... the "drama"... I'd have a hard time picking a favorite song or moment. But my favorite part?

Neil's piercings!!! I miss those.

In my next life, I want to be Neil's guitar.

Favorite part???

Favorite part? So hard to say! Lets see:

Loved Ryan's "bad boy" role "Outside Looking Ln" and "Midnight Well"

Of course Keith's rogue highwayman and his songs "Stand and Deliver" and he and Damien's interaction in "Look at me"

Then there was Damien with his enthusiasm and positive outlook in "When You're 18" and "Look at Me"

"Shadows Dancing" was intreaging.

BUT THE BEST I think was "Hail The Hero" which was so full of energy it made chills run up my arms!

I really liked the whole show; it was really different and wonderful. And so nice to see all the original cast from the beginning of CT!

Stand and Deliver is great...Keith is awesome. I'm afraid that I thought Deirdre should have been with Keith...that is the way the story went, then all of a sudden she is with Paul and the gypsy girl is with Keith...bizarre...overall, it's terrific...love Ryan as the Gypsy King. Shadows Dancing was really good though - Keith and Caroline did a terrific dance number.

My favorite part was Keith

Evil laugh

My daughter and I liked that part alot, too. And what he was wearing is pretty great, also. LOL!

Keith and Evil Laugh

Yeah - loved that laugh...it's great. I also love what he is wearing - those high boots...agh!! How can one man be sooooo - head to toe gorgeous!

Haven't Seen It Yet, But

I have seen the sizzle reel. Since Hail the Hero is a favorite of mine (I have it on my iPod song by the Chieftains and Mick Jaegger), and seeing the sizzle reel I'd have to say that's my favorite. However, listening to my CD (I got it from QVC and it came in yesterday's mail), I cannot think of a song on there that I can't listen to over and over. I am going to order my DVD (or wait until my PBS station plays it and I can pledge so they will keep bring CT to us). In any case, I'm getting the DVD so I can watch the show over and over.

Fave scenes from Storm

Was lucky enough to see it last night thanks to PBS. Smile

The whole show was amazing but some of the highlights for me was SHADWOW DANCING -ohh to be that lucky gipsy women who got to dance with Keith. <3 and the Keith and Damian showpiece LOOK AT ME. HAIL THE HERO was also worth the wait and extremely well performed.

Excited!

I really can't wait to see Storm. All that you girls have been talking about is making me giddy.
Keith's evil laugh? Climbing trees? Man dancing? Oh yes getting very excited:)I'm saving up for when it does come out. Hopefully it will come out before I go to Texas and Missouri in August. Then I can watch it a million times on the long trip:D

I have to choose???

Damain going barefoot was pretty cool. I absolutly LOVED look at me!!!!!!!! When Ryan was in the tree it was really funny because my sister who is several years older than me and could probably go on for hours about how she's the "mature one" nearly cut off the circulation in my arm by grabbing it liked a scared kid cuz she thought he was gonna fall! When you are 18 was just amazing. And i love Mo Ghile Mear! There was more choreography but i liked it better, as in TMH i found the choreography mechanical-ish at times. This all seemed somewhat spontaneous. The Dance-fighting was awesome! I probably missed a lot of details during the group numbers because i was staring at Damian the whole time!!!! Laughing out loud Love

Fav. parts of Storm

It kinda all looks like we liked the same parts. Here's my list:

New Day Dawning - very catchy, that's going to be a new favorite I think.
Stand and Deliver - Loved Keith in this...loved the song and his performance.
Outside looking in - again, loved the song and Ryan's performance
Keith and Ryan jumping out of a tree.
Hail the hero - Awesome song, and awesome dancing by Ryan and crew.
The stepped up choreography was incredible! Loved it all.

Oh, and of course, Midnight Well...

Storm?

I thought it hadn't come out yet...where can you watch a video? Or do you have to physically go to see it?

It's Not

Hey there! Storm isn't out yet. We're just recollecting our favorite parts from memory. For the available info as of right now, you can check out Sharon's blog entry here: http://cms.celticthunder.ie/node/181771

Oh God, My FAVORITE Part?!?!

Um...

Ummm.....

UMMMM...?!?!

God, how the heck am I going to choose?!?! It was all so brilliant! The show may have been three or so hours but the whole thing felt like five minutes!

*dies from trying to choose*

*restart level*

Let's see, Act One... Keith being evil in 'Stand and Deliver' was a high point.

'Outside Lookin' In' was great! I loved Ryan prowling around stealing things and making trouble, and... and... Yeah. Oh, and 'Midnight Well', of course. I wish I'd gotten to see the original ending. D:

Damian's sweetness in 'When You're Eighteen' was adorable.

Oh! Oh! 'Look at Me'! That one's prob'ly one of my mostest faves now! Damian and Keith really bounced off each other. I loved that he and Damian got to push each other around a bit; really shows off their boyish sides. 'Twas much fun. Laughing out loud

Everyone bringing up George being 'Top Banana' in 'Life in the Old Dog Yet' really refreshed my memory. I loved that song, it made me laugh so hard! Reminds me a lot of my own Dad; sounds like the kind of things he'd say. XD

I also really loved when George got to sing 'This Was My Life'. So sweet, really reveals how warm-hearted he is. ^___^

Paul in 'She's not the One' was great, and I loved his duet with Deirdre Shannon, 'Tender is the Night'. Beautiful.

'My Lagan Love' was, well, lovely, and 'Hail the Hero (Mo Ghile Mear)' was excellent! I liked the lads' version of it better than Celtic Woman's. Maybe it was the 'fightin' song' aspect, rather than the 'parting song' version that CW did that I found rather more compelling. :\

Oh, the girls! I really enjoyed 'Harry's Game'; very haunting, her voice was lovely for it. And 'Shadows Dancing' was something else. I wasn't too keen on that one at first, but now I can't wait to see it again! Laughing out loud

I found it amusing that Keith kind of ended up snagging the girl who played Ryan's sister in the show. I wonder if it'll get played on in a future show?

I also really loved that they got to run and jump and climb all over the set. Seein' Keith and Ryan up in the trees, all of them goin' in and out of huts, hoppin' up and down on benches, wells, over creeks and so on was really great. I loved that they really got to cut loose in 'Storm' and 'Showtime'. Laughing out loud

And I guess there's another thread for 'Showtime'? I'll go look for it before I blather on any further here. ^___^

Showtime part of STORM

What is this Showtime part I've seen referred to a couple of times? Is it perhaps the second half that is now called "It's Entertainment?

You mean they changed the ending for Midnight Well? Why was that?

Showtime = It's Entertainment

Yes, Showtime was the working title of IE before it became IE.

They changed the ending of Midnight Well because I believe it was either complained about by a few fans for being a little too um... I don't know the word for it, we'll just say close... or it was too close for future PBS airings of it. Not sure which will end up on the DVD.

I'll answer to Tangy.
unfortunately has no Irish in her *pout*

Loved all the music

Can't choose fvourites-Oh ok Keiths stand and deliver, look at me ,outside looking in-OH I will just list them all so .......What I really didn't care for was -too much going on that really didn't add anything to story line but didn't interfer with my loving the music. I did miss the band and instrumental music like in TMH-that I really missed. But again loved the music in both halves.

I can't come up with a

I can't come up with a favorite song or anything else simply because the whole show was unbelievably wonderful. I knew the minute I looked at the program that we were in for an incredible experience and I wasn't disappointed. I loved Ryan as the gypsy (thud) and when Keith came out...oh my!!!...Damian and Keith singing Look at Me!! My only problem was which one to look at!! Damian has grown so much! I loved Paul tap dancing in Doo Wacka Doo so suave and debonair..sigh..Ryan in the tree and swinging down..George as the 'top banana'..Stand and Deliver and Keith really did!! Hail the Hero, Hallelujah with Keith, Ryan and Neil. Keith's surfer medley was so much fun to watch and Keith was really rocking on the guitar - he was awesome!! George owns 500 Miles and the audience knew it!! The original ending of Midnight Well (I liked it much better than the second), Keith picking on Damian throughout the show, seeing the looks on their faces Friday night after Ireland's Call they all looked so happy and pleased!!
I loved the beginning and the end and everything in between!!

(Thanks Sharon for keeping the kilts!!)

I have a question, was

I have a question, was hallelujah the same song that Rufus Wainwright (spelling?) sings? Smile

Yep, that's the song you'll

Yep, that's the song you'll be hearing... it's beautiful!

Thanks!

STORM faves...so hard to choose!

I LOVED!!!!....
~The curtain first opening and my eyes trying to take in the marvelous set! I think I lost my breath!
~Ryan coming out first and the passion as he spread his arms and looked up to the sky.
~Ryan's sexy tribal dancing in the opening number
~All the remaining guys FINALLY rushing into the scene- LOVED WATCHING KEITH RUN IN and get violent! As my eyes were scrambling to figure out who was who
~Thank you Lord for a new Day Dawning- shaping up to be a new fave!
~Seeing the band, esp Neil involved!
~Outside looking in- perfect range for Ryan's voice and him in that tree...*phew*
~Keith singing Stand and Deliver- AGAIN perfect range for him, again the tree...his evil laugh and the video! LOL
~Seeing Sarah say "Did he just say top banana" when George sang Life in the Old Dog Yet
~Keith violently shoving George's hand away
~Beautiful Dancer and passionate Dancing with Keith in Shadows Dancing
~THIS WAS MY LIFE IS A DEFINITE FAVORITE FROM STORM! Damian was HILARIOUS! I could not stop laughing! "I'm a hell of a fella, I can sing acapella"
~Mo Ghile Mear: Ryan's sexy dancing vs. watching Neil do the dance! WONDERFUL CRAIC!
And that sums up my excitement (not all of it but the highlights) for STORM

mistake...

Wow I messed up and didn't recognize it until now. My second to last point was supposed to be two separate things....evidently two thoughts ran together.
DAMIAN WAS HILARIOUS AND IW AS LAUGHING SO HARD in Take a Look at Me! One of my VERY VERY FAVORITES FROM THE SHOW
and then This Was My Life was very sweet from George. I actually got tears in my eyes the second night just thinking about any decisions made and the people I know and how my life has gone, things and people I've loved and lost and I wouldn't change a thing. Very sweet song.

Favourite part of Storm

I could start from the Overture and go on to the end but a few things do stand out:

1. Phil wrote some marvelous new stuff, everything was so suitable to the story and the performers.
2. Outside Lookin' In and Ryan the thief. There was something special about how Ryan sang this.
3. Damian, almost all grown up, challenging the big guys, getting put in his place by Keith.
4. George as the head man! He certainly is.
5. Keith, Stand and Deliver and Shadows Dancing - I've never seen a nicer Highwayman
6. Paul - such a gentleman, so smooth.
7. Wishing Hail the Hero was not the end not matter how much I enjoy that song.

That's only Act One. I loved everything in Act Two as well including how Damian continued to challenge the older men. I notice there's a separate thread for Showtime (Act Two) so I will continue there.

I loved all of STORM!!!

There were some moments that stood out:
Damian and Keith doing Look At Me! I thought I would fall out of my seat laughing!
George singing This Was My Life, lunging with the mike!
Paul tap dancing in Doo Wacka Doo
Ryan in the tree! And singing On The Outside Lookin' In....loved that song and it is still in my head!
George as the top banana, in Life in the Old Dog Yet
Keith as the Highwayman singing Stand and Deliver!
Ryan's wonderful rendition of Midnight Well was exciting and the original ending was perfect.
Standing On The Corner with a more mature, yet still adorable Damian.
500 Miles always makes me want to dance! Thanks, George!
You Raise Me Up, inspiring as always and that voice!
Surfer Medley: Keith brought me back to my school days, and the electric guitar was awesome!
The beginning and ending numbers both gave me goosebumps. The Irish have been fighting for their land for generations and you could feel the emotion!
I could go on and on, since I loved every minute of both parts of the show. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to get the dvd!
