Okay, so I'm moving to Beijing this Fall (presumably) for college, and if there is anybody out there interested in CT,let me know and we'll set something up! I'm thinking of starting a solid CT fanbase there and seeing if like Australia, we can get them over there! Four years without CT...at the rate Damian's growing, he'll probably be nine feet four inches next I see him.
I think Celtic Thunder would be a big hit over there, since Riverdance has made it big, and even Celtic Woman's on TV all.the.time. The Chinese seem to really enjoy music like this, as well as Broadway hits, which the guys cover, so I feel like with the proper PR and enough effort, they could really be worldwide.
Oh, and if anybody lives in other places...Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, let me know as well. My dad travels a lot and I'm sure I'll be able to tag along after him

Wow! That's a fabulous experience, studying in Beijing!
And it would be fantastic if you manage to build a Celtic Thunder Fanbase while you are there - maybe even tie in with the Fans in Asia and Australia group. (Tho its on Facebook so that might not work unless you figure out how to still get Facebook).
Good luck and Enjoy!!

So, I'm Chinese-American, and I was in China over mid-winter break visiting family, and I saw Celtic Woman on TV! Which got me wondering, does Celtic Thunder get any promo at all over there?
I did manage to educate a poor unsuspecting CD seller on the street though......

Man, I know it'll porbably be a long wait but I really would like to see the guys perform live somewhere closer than the States/Canada soon: it's awfully expensive to fly there from here not to mention the time it takes...

Anyways it said Pacific and I'm half Pacific Islander/Polynesian/Samoan whatever you want to call me. I'm an American citizen but my mom is the Samoan and my dad was born in New York but grew up in New Zealand. So if any of you thunderheads are from any of those places I just want to say hey! There was someone posted a request for a show in Singapore - and I wholeheartedly echo that!
While I'd love Celtic Thunder to come to Bali I don't think there's a venue or a big enough audience for the full show here. But Singapore is developing as a major Asian concert venue in the last few years, and as a hub its relatively easy for people to get to from the rest of South East Asia as well

Re: Asia/Pacific Thunderheads
Hello Asian Thunderheads !!
Is Irish music great or what??? it's nice to know that CT transcends culture and backgrounds and heck, continents!
I'm Canadian. However, I come from a mixed background. My mom and dad are both half caucasian/half asian.
I went to the show last night, and I actually saw lots of Asians watching the show. how cool!
