Hello out there!
Greetings from the bunker! I've just surfaced for the weekend,giving myself a break away from the piano and my writing desk,checking in to see what's going on in Thunderland! I can report that all the new music for the show has been written and assembled and it is going to be AWESOME .I can't remember the last time I worked this hard ! But I know it's going to be so worthwhile. The new show,which we're filming in late September, is definitely going to raise the bar by a helluva lot. It's going to be so different,so original and so full of energy. You guys are going to LOVE IT!...... I PROMISE !
We start work next week on rehearsals etc., and then straight into recording,right up until September. First we do the rhythm section ,then the vocals ,and finally the full orchestra. It's a big undertaking but SO exciting. I guess that's why I'm still doing this after 40 years!

We love nothing more than talking to the fans for 10-15 mins after shows, but we cant because of PBS. And they are great to us. SO there it is!!!! Hi all,
Just a brief visit before hitting the hay.....it's been a very long day in the studio.Yes.I can confirm that Brendan Monaghan,who, of course, has been my first call piper for years,and who played in the very first Celtic Thunder Special,WILL be touring with the show this Fall...and,indeed,hopefully for longer.Work and family commitments had prevented him touring in the past and ,indeed, it was he who suggested Barry ,a former pupil,as his dep. But now Brendan is back and I'm sure he'll get a very warm welcome! We're all delighted to have him on board,and,of course we wish Barry all the best.

Hi to you all,
Just wrapped another very full day in the studio working on the new show. I've now finished with the first stage of recording the band,so we're now on vocals. With so many new songs it;s a lot of learning and a lot of hard work,but it's all coming together. I'm really excited because the show has got so many new ingredients. I just KNOW you guys are going to love it.
What lifted our spirits no end to-day was the news that 'Take Me Home' had gone straight to Number One on the Billboard World Music Charts. Happy days!
You see Stu,I do pay attention to your suggestions. This was one that really did work!

NH, they are still working on a venue deal, keep your fingers crossed.
As it's a convention centre and they are building the seating, they have to get that sorted so they can build ticket sales to put it up on sale with seat no's etc. If it doesn't happen fairly soon, I'll put them up as just "general admission" tickets and assign them on a first tix purchased will be allocated best seats when the seating plan is built. 1502087

So we came to another place which has a lake beside it. Here is the story of yesterday!!! Keith-Damo yee wanna go canoein? Me-aye y not? 30 mins later. Keith-Damo get off here two secs would yee(an island in the middle of the lake!! Me-No worries!!(how stupid can i get?) Keith swims away in the boat. I stand on the island for an hour or so. Keith comes back as the other boys are watching. Keith-Get in Damo. Me-FINALLY, that while nice of yee Harkin. As we r goin to safety, keith starts to shake the boat. I go inot hysterics and before i know it, he capsizes the boat, and im in the water clothes and all. DAY 2-We go canoein again after a hard days work. Goin nicely for half anhour....when i am handed the ore. All of a sudden it capsizes again...out of nothing. Keitho blamed me of course....a bit harsh in my opinion.....but i could not believe it. Nearly had heart failure. Bitter cold water, unexpected aint good.!!! End of story.........probably until day 3!!!!!! 1501303

Hi folks,
In the studio rehearsing with the band for our next Celtic Thunder project. It's Saturday night so I've just sent them all home and decided to have a quick pop into the site to catch up and see what's going on. I'm so pleased at the reaction to the new songs on the Take Me Home cd, especially Midnight Well.
You are right it was conceived totally with Ryan's voice and persona in mind and I have to say he has more than done the song justice. Just wait till you hear it ......not to mention SEE it on stage!
By the way thanks for the kind words and messages about my son Ryan,who is turning into a bit of a sports star. I'm very proud of him,making a career in an area that could not be further away from mine! He's just come home from Belgrade and the World University Games and can't wait to head out to San Diego where he'll be studying,and playing soccer,for the next 3 or 4 years..... gives me a great excuse to visit the west coast!
I'll be dying to hear what you guys make of all the new songs when you hear them in their entirety.

It's a great atmosphere because everyone is nervous and excited, always great shows to experience as a result. Nothing beats filming night of a new show for me for atmosphere, it's electric, always! 1466799

I dint watch to be honest. I was so sad to hear of his loss, but even more sad to see so many crawl out of the woodwork when he needed them least. As for his father, God that man makes my skin crawl and I am convinced that he drove his kids too hard. Maybe I am sayin to much but hey, why should I stop now 1466035
