Promo coming like a train - February 19, 2010

Well that's IE well and truly out there and the promo trip is coming at us like train. My thought in November when we all came home were, (Three months off, it will be great to have all this time with my family). Where has it gone? The time has been great but it's not good for you to just be at home all the time. The bonding i've done with Sarah has been out of this world, We've both become the best friends in the world (Not that we weren't best friends already). luckily she seems to understand what Dad does for a living and knows she can come to see me any time, even tho i'm only away for 3 weeks this time. I'm sure Carrie will hold the fort well till i get home.
The weather in Scotland is as someone once said...."it's predictable, or is that unpredictable?" anyway the un/predictability of it has brought us a frozen, frosty morning, just when i thought Spring was about to kick in.
I can't wait to hear the tour dates for the Fall/Autumn. Radio City is on the Bill. I can't wait to hear the Promo trip dates either....... as far as i know Myself and Ryan will be on the West Coast for a couple of weeks, Not sure of all the places that will take in yet but i'm sure it will be a lot of fun. We're looking forward to seeing some if you on the way. Take care till then. Thanks for the support of the new show, Keep up the good work. I'll see you soon.

Donaldson Clan

George,

I have watched CTs promo on PSB three times this week...can't get enough of you guys!! I look forward to hearing more of the Celtic tunes when you come to Everett, WA. My Grandmother was a Donaldson, however her family came from Scotland to the US in the 1700s so any knowledge of the "Clan" has long been lost or forgotten. I understand that there are several Donaldson Clans depending on location???? Anyway, as much as I wish that we could claim that we belonged to your group, we know it can't be....we are absolutely musically deficient. ;o) Oh, my Grandfather was Irish so I totally am into the Celtic Thunder. Thank you, George and the rest of the troup, for making my days full of wonderful sounds and pure enjoyment!! Each of you bring a special ability to the show.

Dallas George????

Hi George!

I am trying desperately trying to find out whether Dallas will be on any 2010 tour. Can you help me? My husband and I lost his 21 year old son suddenly just over a year ago. This was his only child. He collapsed in a marathon in tulsa, Ok in front of the medical tent. They worked on him for over 30 minutes and never got a pulse. I am registered nurse and I knew instinctively when we got the call that he was gone, even before the confirmation and I started to pack. This was right before your first U.S. tour. We went to the concert as planned because my 13 year old, like us, is a huge fan. I had also just lost my father. I could not stop the flow of tears when I hear 'My Boy' and 'The Old Man'. We had not told Jake about his brother. It had only been a week. When 'The Old Man' began he collapsed in tears. I did as well, Iknew what I had to tell him would only ad to what he was already grieving for. He and I are both domestic abuse survivors. When we told Jake the next day aobut his brother, he locked himself in his room with your first CD. When he emerged about 2 hours later, he was at peace.

Never underestimate what you guys do! Please tell the others.

Thanks for everything from the bottom of my heart...

Sara

Hi George, I was watching the new show, which is fantastic, and I saw Sara in the audience with your wife. She looked a bit in Awe of all the people yelling and screaming for her dad! It has to be quite an adjustment for her though. Hey,was it planned for Damien to step down during Irelands Call ? That was cute the way Paul pulled him back up. Can't wait to see you.Hurry Back

Thank you

George, Please thank Carrie and wee Sarah for us for sharing you. My dad was in the Army and I know that time away makes the time together all the more precious. Treasure every minute. As to IE having you step out of your comfort zones...You all look really comfortable to me and I love every note, every movement, every wink, and every smile. Can you imagine what you have brought to all of us? See you soon.

George, thanks so much for

George, thanks so much for the update. The promo tour will go quickly and Sarah and Carrie will have you back for a wee bit, but the bonds you all have will last forever. You have such a beautiful life! Hope the piano and violin are progressing. Send hugs to Carrie and Sarah for us, and take care!

Thanks for the blog, George!

Thanks for the blog, George! Sarah is lucky to have you for a Daddy, and will miss you, even if it is only 3 weeks this time. You and Ryan have a great time on the West coast, but don't forget us over here in the cold, snowy East!! Looking forward to seeing IE next Fall, and hearing My Life With You in person. Boston awaits!
Rock On!

Thanks so much, George, for keeping in touch with us. You've got me rockin' out with "Life With You"
(didn't think you could top "500 Miles"!) and I adore your version of "Hello Again". Just beautiful!

Promo Tour

George, We are looking forward to having you and the lads back in the U.S. I have loved every second of listening to IE! One funny note - it's always your songs that get assigned to my husband's ring tones. First 500 Miles and now I Want To Spend My Life With You. I love it when he calls!

Also, I loved seeing Carrie and Sarah on the DVD. So incredibly sweet!

It's Entertainment

George & the boys -

The music in the video and the CD is just great. Can't wait to see you guys again the next time you're in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. We love your 500 miles song, first time we heard it was last March when you were in DC. It now seems to be everyplace! it was just being sung on the TV show How I Met Your Mother. George, your verision is still the best!

George... I know you've

George... I know you've enjoyed your time with Sarah. My dad and I used to watch Star Trek together (of course, it was the Original Series), and then stayed up late watching a rerun the night before I was married.

I love IE. Listened to "life with you" about 2 thousand times yesterday... my own Sarah (age 17) came in last evening and started laughing at me.

In my next life, I want to be Neil's guitar.

Ahhh. . . .

KinNC, You just brought tears to my eyes picturing you and your Dad watching your show together the night before your wedding! That kind of relationship is a treasure and a blessing. Wish everyone could have that experience. Happy for George & Sarah! Smile

Can't wait for the new tour and tour dates also!

Hi George! SOOO sorry you will be on the road away from your family again. Just when Sarah/Carrie are used to having you home, it is time to leave again. Absence makes the heart grow fonder! I love the new show and cannot wait to see it in person. I do enjoy the contemporary feel and it's great to see how diverse and flexible you all are. It has been a pleasure watching all of you grow with each show and step outside your comfort zones ~ especially Paul and tap dancing! The reviews on Amazon have been great. It's nice to see a show with family entertainment that appeals to different generations....Keep up the amazing work.

Promo in the air

Hi George:
What a special little lady you have at home whom I'm sure idolized her daddy. There's nothing better that the love from a daughter to father. I'm one of those types. My daughter and her father are the same way.
Not only you but your WHOLE FAMILY are amazing people. It's so wonderful for Carrie and Sarah to share you with the rest of us. They truly deserve our love and thanks. Big hugs to you all.
Look forward to seeing you if you make it to Nova Scotia.

Have Fun!

Good to hear from ya! Glad you have enjoyed your time at home, Sarah sounds like a real sweetheart.
Cant wait too see you and Ryan on PBS for Seattle Washington. Kinda sad we Thunderheads cant be their, but their is talk of a welcoming crew. So you may be in luck, the washington Thunderheads are amazing frineds and this Vancouver Island British Columbia girl has found amazing friends in many of them. We are all excited for the tour dates this year too, really hoping for some dates in Canada! Specifically, Vancouver BC but hey we can only hope right, have fun on the West Coast. Its beautiful here i love British Columbia, and hey even maybe if your lucky you might get too catch some Winter Olympic joy. Canada and the USA have been bringing in the Gold Medals, it was amazing to see the Opening Ceremony's they were fantastic. K.D Lang sang Hallelujah and all my family thought was were is Ryan, Neil and Keith. You guys have really made an impression, with everything you guys do not only in music but for your fans too. So Thanks George, and i think its right to say thanks to Carrie and Sarah too for being such amazing people to believe in you, and support you in what you do!!
See you on the west coast George! Haha

Lots of Love from Nanaimo BC

Awww George - I'm sure you

Awww George - I'm sure you and Sarah have had some great times together since you've been home. It's not every girl that gets to spend such quality time with her dad!

No signs of Spring here in St. Louis either. In fact we're due for some sleet tonight. Maybe once the Celtic Thunder lads hit our shores, we will ALL warm up some!!

Enjoy your trip with Ryan to the West Coast. I know from doing 2 promo shows with you and Ryan that the two of you will charm the PBS peeps (particularly the ladies!!!) and the audience as well. Smile Take care ~

Thank you, Ryan, for everything!!

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
