First Live Pledges done! - February 27, 2010
Just leaving Connecticut now,
Keith and Neil did well, nice station CPTV, friendly people, met some fans answering the phones, good night.
Ryan and George still on live over in KCTS9 in Seattle, going well I hear though.
Hope everyone is enjoying seeing the new "It's Entertainment" show on TV this week and that it proves popular and leads to a successful tour.
Off to the next one!

PBS SHOW THURSDAY NIGHT!
Hey Sharon. *waves* I can't WAIT to watch and record the PBS show on Thursday night! WOOHOO! My parents think I'm nuts, since I've now listened to the IE CD and played the DVD numerous times. I FINALLY saw the commercial last night on my local PBS channel around 12 am or so, since I couldn't sleep...long story...and I got all excited! I was even watching 'Out of Ireland' last night, because I still couldn't sleep.
Anyway, I can't wait to see the guys on QVC! That's the one and only time I will probably ever watch the shopping channel. *wink*
Again, I wish I could get to see the guys live, but that will probably never happen. Or it might...I'll have to keep checking the tour schedule this year, so they don't slip by me again. *crosses fingers*
Again, Thank You, Sharon, for bringing Celtic Thunder to me...and to the rest of us.
Again, did anyone hear anything about the guys being on the CBS morning show coming up? If they are, I wouldn't want to miss that either.
NJN tonight
Hi Sharon,
Enjoyed seeing you tonight on our NJ station. Keith and Neil were so charming and funny! I was privaleged to pledge the premium tickets at the Taj with the pre-show reception. I am soooo excited. I will also be working the phones in Wikes Barre Friday evening and I sure hope I get a chance to meet you and the guys. I am driving 2 hours to get to the PBS station...needless to say my family thinks I am nuts, but not I. You guys are well worth it!!! Thanks again for all you do and for bringing such joy to us here in the states. Hope to see you on Friday.

CT on CBS morning show?
Anyone heard anything about CT being on the CBS morning show on March 10th or something? I saw that somewhere on this forum...I just can't remember where...
Dangit! *growl* I can't
Dangit! *growl* I can't BELIEVE I missed CT at the Mann last year! I didn't even know they were going to be there! I never had time to check this site, and I never saw a commercial for them. You'd think the concert would've been advertised or something. I swear, it appears this area has NO appreciation for Celtic Thunder.
I HOPE they can get down here again this year...is it too much to hope they perform in the same place twice? *crosses fingers* I'll have to keep checking. Alas...I probably wouldn't be able to afford the tickets anyway.
Tickets usually sell starting
Tickets usually sell starting at about 60.00 and going down as you move back in the theatre. There is always something for everyone.

Hmmm...60? That's not too
Hmmm...60? That's not too bad. I'd heard they were higher than that. Good to know.
Of course, last October was a bad time for me anyway. I'd just been laid off from my job one month earier, right after Labor Day, so, at that point, my money was kind of tight...and I had lots of stuff going on.
Here's to hoping they swing back my way...please...please...please....
PBS pledge gifts are more
PBS pledge gifts are more expensive.
Oh and if Ticketmaster offers the special tickets again for soundcheck those are more expensive too.

CPTV and Celtic Thunder
I realize that Celtic Thunder and CPTV have a symbiotic relationship, and I enjoyed the lads'appearance in Hartford last night, and am really looking forward to seeing them here in October.
However, I feel that CPTV stations are holding CT fans hostage. In Hartford, the post concert meeting and 2 orchestra seats went for a $500.00 pledge. Other seats carried a $95.00 price tag and were sold in pairs.
I can only assume prices are comparable in other venues. CPTV takes "blocks" of tickets in all sections and auctions them off for a pledge. When the Bushnell in Hartford puts your tickets on sale, there will be no good seats in the house. This was my experience with the Palace Theater in Torrington, CT for last September's CT concert.
I may be able to afford the $500, but how many younger fans cannot? I have NOTHING negative to say about Celtic Thunder and am a great fan. I just wish tickets could be made available to the general public on one set date to give everyone an equal try to get good seats and affordable.
LET THE THUNDER ROLL!!!
CPTV and CT
Please note that the "meet and greet" is a pre concert dessert reception, not post concert. Also, I agree with you marymac that $500.00 is a lot of money and a large increase over last year. However, I have to disagree about being able to get good seats through the theater. Last year we purchased from the Warner in Torrington on line and got 2nd row pit seats. However, you do have to purchase as soon as they're available. Within an hour, the only seats left were in the balcony.

Thank you again Sharon for letting us have sometime with you and the guys! Note to self never leave the studio with the camera or without mom
Thank you again for everything! Im glad we had such a good response! Can't wait until October @the Bushnell and yes well see you there! he he sorry makes me giggle
NJN
Hi Sharon,
I am so glad the plans are going well...and the fellas are all sorted out. I knew it would be OK! This weather has been a bear! I still have numerous gift cards from Christmas unspent, can't get out to shop after work, too cold, too much snow still piled everywhere!
A group of us will be going to NJN tomorrow night, and it has been announced that the original CT show will be shown, not IE. Another station will air Take Me Home, Not IE...is there a legal snafu at work here?
Can the IE trailer at least be shown during the promo?
Confusedly,
Maggie Costello
I want to dance 'til the very last day...
PBS
Last night Ryan and George were amazing but there not coming to Vancouver!? Why not? What about us B.C thunderheads over here? That makes me sad.
But I will probably got to Everett to see them!

St. Paddy's Day
Hope you have plans for the boys on St. Paddy's day. Would you please let us know if they will be playing anywhere ?
Our group was at the toronto taping on the thursday night. We were spread apart in the audience and of course everybody but me got into the audience shots. ugh!
Wished you put in the Top Banana song. That was fun! Take care

PBS
Sharon,
I watched the Seattle PBS last night with George and Ryan. The show was great and enjoyed the guys of course. The only thing is if I heard correctly they will not be coming to Vancouver in the fall...really? If so I am disappointed but I might get to see them in Everett.

Where is Everette?
Glad you enjoyed the show. Look forward to seeing them myself on Mar. 10 @ 8PM.
Will share notes.
Everett
Sisterdar,
Everett is just before you get to Seattle if you are coming from B.C.
New CD's? YAY!
WHAT?! The Storm CD and DVD coming up, PLUS a classic Irish songs CD AND a Christmas CD?! OYE! The guys sure are busy lately!
I hope all the CD's come out a few months apart from each other. I'm unemployed right now...and yet...I'll have to put aside money for those...because I love the guys that much. I love everything they do. I just can't enough of them.
Thank you, Sharon, for bringing Celtic Thunder to me! I wish I could see the guys live, but sadly, that will never happen for me. I just don't have the money or the means to travel...unless the guys can ever get to perform at the Barbara BeMann in Fort Myers, Florida, like Celtic Woman did last year. *Hint,Hint* *wink*
Ah well..at least I've got another DVD and more CD's to look forward to.
Now, I just have to make sure I don't miss the PBS show in my area. Must go check the PBS listings.
New CD's
Hi OneQuarterIrish! I'm certain Celtic Thunder was at the Barbara Mann Theater in Ft. Meyers during last fall's tour. I'm sorry you missed them. This fall, they are scheduled for the Ruth Eckard Theater in Clearwater and also a concert in Ft. Lauderdale. I sincerely hope you're able to go to one of those. I was fortunate to see them twice last fall (St. Petersburg and Orlando). Best wishes.
Hmmm...as far as I know, only
Hmmm...as far as I know, only Celtic Woman got down this far. The commercial was on constantly advertising them at the Barbara BeMann. I don't remember hearing anything about CT performing there. Can anyone confirm this? Sadly, Fort Lauderdale is a little out of my travel range also.
Barbara B. Mann
They were definitely there last fall. If you go on this site to 'Tours', you'll see they were in Fort Myers on October 22, 2009. Since not all of the venues have been listed yet for this fall's tour, maybe they'll be back to the Barbara B. Mann. I hope they will be for you.
They were at the Mann Theatre
They were at the Mann Theatre last fall we almost went to that show. But we settled on St. Petersburg and Jacksonville.

Glad to hear it's all getting
Glad to hear it's all getting off to a good start!! I was watching Ryan and George over here in Seattle, and they were both very good!
I hope the other interviews from other PBS stations will be posted somewhere! I would love to hear what the other guys have to say too!

Thanks for keeping us up to date Sharon
Are you going to travel with Keith and Neil for all the stops on this trip??? Can't wait for WLIW Wednesday. I'm hoping the other pledge breaks will be posted somewhere, LOL. You know us fans, we can never get enough!!!!!!!!!!!
Ryan and George did great!
Got to see Ryan and George on PBS in Seattle, they are wonderful! Very happy to hear the fellas are recording a CD with some new songs, what a bonus treat for us fans. Thankful all of you have made it safely in your travels and that things are going well. Thanks to all, especially you Sharon. Take care and hope everyone has a great week!
Roberta
Hi Roberta
Can you help out us East Coast Ryan and George fans and tell us...What did they sing ?????? Thanks
Hello fellow CT Fan!
mduff - Ryan sang "Everything I Do I Do It For You", I missed George singing, only got to hear him talk - he is a charmer with a great smile even when just looking into the camera. Did anyone else catch George and what he sang? What did the guys on the east coast sing? My apologies mduff, was busy with family. Cheers, Roberta
I look forward to seeing the
I look forward to seeing the boys on PBS, and I can't wait to hear Neil talk again. I love all of them talking, but Neil's accent is particularly hypnotic.
At any rate, it's cool to see him getting involved more in the show, not just in the background.
I absolutely CAN'T WAIT for the Irish songs CD and the Christmas CD, not to mention the Storm CD. Y'all are really motorin' along here! Counting all those CDs, plus IE, that'll be four CDs, and two DVDs, unless you plan on a DVD for the Christmas album, in which case there'll be three DVDs. Wow!
Anyway, I hope you guys all come to Syracuse at least for the fall tour, or that there's a date in or near Kingston in the summer. Can't wait to see you all again!

promo tour at CPTV
Hi Sharon,
Saw the show on CPTV in Connecticut and LOVED it!! Keith and Neil did a fantastic job!! I so wanted to be there at the studio but couldn't go because they had SO many volunteers!! The lady at CPTV said the phone rang "off the hook" with people wanting to be there but they had to limit the number of volunteers. So I did the next best thing and bought tickets for the show. Can't wait until October!! The Bushnell is a beautiful place. The greatest part of the night was when Keith said they will be working on a Christmas CD and an Irish songs CD, once they are back in Ireland. I screamed when he said that!! What a lovely surprise!! I just can't wait!! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you Sharon for creating Celtic Thunder and for all the wonderful music they sing!! We can't get enough of them!! You have made so many people so happy, we can't thank-you enough!! Enjoy the rest of the promo trip and thanks for all that you do!! Take Care!!

Ryan & George Live Seattle KCTS IE Promo „ø¤º°♪♫°
Our KCTS9 promo was GREAT!! Est Toll! Happy to see Ryan & George again after the TMH Seattle shows in Nov. They both did a terrific job promoting the new Fall tour. Thank you Ryan & George for staying for a 2nd Live Promo taping...you both looked refreshed, tho Ryan did look a bit tired by the 2nd Live It's Entertainment airing. My heart went out to yees...Danke sehr, you two!! Klasse! ¤❤¸„„ø¤º°♪♫°
IE was truly fun to watch again since Toronto, of course, missed Zara and her chemistry with Ryan...and for my own enjoyment, I really wish Paul's Sway & Ryan's Everything I Do would have been on the DVD...my most favorite songs. My reasoning is I'm simply undecided about purchasing the CD at this point in time...a female's voice on a Celtic Thunder CD doesn't quite make sense for me, as it does in a visual theatrical performance with Keith in the DVD...and I already knew what to expect for the DVD...wondering about those new peeps/fans who only expect the original 5 Celtic Thunder lads and are introduced through the CD first...sorry to say, ultimately just didn't care for a female vocalist on a Celtic Thunder album for my money's worth this time. I must add, IT IS very good news to learn that the new Fall tour will also include new unknown celtic songs along with well-known & loved Celtic pieces as well. Thank you for that!! All in all, IE certainly is very entertaining and Damian, Keith, Ryan, Paul & George excelled in a new light & Halleluiah is wonderful!! I enjoy the mixed tunes...lots of fun!! Thanks for all the hard work & dedication Sharon...I love your original concepts!
Blessings, Good wishes, Safe travels~

We got to see George & Ryan, it was great. We're really upset though that you're not coming back to Vancouver, it's too expensive for us to go to Everett. I hope Vancouver is on your next set of tour dates.
It was nice seeing the guys again promoting, hope to see more in the next few months.
Keep up the great work & hopefully you can include Vancouver BC again on the tour dates.

Tonight's Maryland Public Television Promo
Just back from dropping off my two fellow Thunderheads, Allie and Bern ... we had a AWESOME time volunteering for the first time at our PBS station. The feedback I got from the callers was all positive and many were experiencing Celtic Thunder for the very first time ... how cool is that ... new fans for the lads ... AWESOME! We had so much fun volunteering and answering the phones that we all want to do it again tomorrow night! Love helping the PBS stations who are helping out the lads ... what an unbelievable combination!
Way to go!
So good to have you all back in the States to promote the new show (and public broadcasting) - way to grow!
