My mate of european

My mate of european penalization began with Riverdance, then on to Celtic Mate, The Screechy Kings and now Gaelic Shout: my Scotch-Irish ancestors preconcerted in the recondite Appalachian Mountains of Northbound Carolina and they brought their singable heritage with them, quietly intercourse their songs and dances with the domestic Iroquoian Indians and remaining archeozoic settlers. These lovely jigs and reels can noneffervescent be launch wager in those removed hills and valleys to this day.

It was great while it lasted,

It was great while it lasted, but it is time to say goodbye. I think it only lasts a couple weeks on purpose. Really, do you want to watch any more Olympics? They’re making sure they don’t overstay their welcome on their dials, not that we even have dials on our TVs anymore. It’s goodbye for four more years until Sochi, Russia, but not until the all-important gold medal game in Men’s hockey.

I hear they're wonderful! I'm

I hear they're wonderful! I'm with you on the fainting! I keep thinking that I would faint too, but I have some questions ready so that will help! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for keeping us

Thanks so much for keeping us all informed. You do such an amazing job! Hope you get some down time and have the chance to enjoy some sight.

I haven't seen any PBS shows

I haven't seen any PBS shows yet, but I did attend the closing ceremonies of the winter Olympics! What a lot of fun! It was absolutely unreal to be sitting there - and wearing moose antlers, of all things! I don't know if I would have liked it as much if I were watching it at home on tv, but it was a blast to be there in person. Home again now and looking forward to watching & pledging during the PBS show this week!

Good job

Hi Sharon-I saw the pledge show From NJN last night!Enjoyed seeing Keith and Neil and also-you look wonderful! Certainly enjoying It's Entertainment! Hope that the whole promo tour goes well and that there are a few more laughs along the way!!!

Gratitude?...you betcha!

How can the millions of YOUR supporters, as well as the adoring fans of Celtic Thunder, ever relate to you how grateful we are for every ounce of hard work and planning that you do to bring the world the very best entertainment...hands down? There aren't enough words.

My love of celtic music began with Riverdance, then on to Celtic Woman, The High Kings and now Celtic Thunder: my Scotch-Irish ancestors settled in the deep Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and they brought their musical heritage with them, quietly sharing their songs and dances with the native Cherokee Indians and other early settlers. These lovely jigs and reels can still be found back in those remote hills and valleys to this day.

Your work, Sharon, with Phil Coulter is brilliant and your reach for perfection with each new show stands high. I can only repeat what I posted on Damian's blog...it's pure JOY to watch him mature into adulthood; one new song after another keeps him reaching more and more to polish those deepening tones and it's breathtaking to both watch and listen to him grow into a fabulous singer. You have put together such a fine team of musicians and it's pleasing to see you add more voices and performers to the mix. I'm just wearing out the CT dvds and cds and can hardly wait to pre-order the STORM discs.

Please know that the addition of "The Story So Far" is so very much appreciated...we are eager to share in the team's progress from those initial auditions to the place they are today. As you are able, please continue to include updated interviews with the team members on future dvds - for those of us who will never be able to see a live show and participate in the 'meet 'n greets', it fulfills a need for us to feel like we're right there in the middle of all the excitement of the shows.

Don't pay too much attention to the critics who scream that the songs are not all Irish anymore - your sense of making the song selections extremely entertaining is right on track...let those people buy the High Kings dvd if all they want are Irish tunes. George is right - you know what the audience wants to see and hear and you're going with your best instincts...keep up the good work, Sharon. We love the oldies and the goodies...and we love Phil Coulter's creations...it's all pure 'magic'.

Sincerely, an devoted Ohio/USA fan,
Betty

PBS show Thursday night! YAY!

Hey Sharon. *waves* I can't WAIT to watch and record the PBS show on Thursday night! WOOHOO! My parents think I'm nuts, since I've now listened to the IE CD and played the DVD numerous times. I FINALLY saw the commercial last night on my local PBS channel around 12 am or so, since I couldn't sleep...long story...and I got all excited! I was even watching 'Out of Ireland' last night, because I still couldn't sleep.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the guys on QVC! That's the one and only time I will probably ever watch the shopping channel. *wink*

Again, I wish I could get to see the guys live, but that will probably never happen. Or it might...I'll have to keep checking the tour schedule this year, so they don't slip by me again. *crosses fingers*

Again, Thank You, Sharon, for bringing Celtic Thunder to me...and to the rest of us.

Again, did anyone hear anything about the guys being on the CBS morning show coming up? If they are, I wouldn't want to miss that either.

hi

hi sharon the show was excellant waiting to see it again. the guys did a great job u and phil can be proud of them. but, the only thing is that i can't seem to get thru to u and ryan Damian no one i don't know what i'm doing wrong.
please help i want to keep in touch with u guys.
Nancy

Great PBS in New Jersey!

Hi Sharon! Again, I must tell you how brilliant you and Phil are. Each tour/show gets better and better. I watched last evening and I think Neil and Keith were really relaxed, having a good time with the PBS host and the audience. They sang my 2 favorite songs from the new show. If I were a first time viewer to Celtic Thunder, the lads would have convinced me to buy the CD,DVD and attend the concert! The respect you all show to one another both professionally and personally, comes across so naturally. Continued success and blessings! Safe travel.

Opportunity

Are there Canadian concert dates known yet? How does one go about getting M&G tickets for these shows once they are posted? I really don't want to lose the chance this time round too! Please help me Sharon!

NJN tonight

Hi Sharon,
It was nice to see you tonight on the New Jersey station. Keith and Neil were very charming and very funny! I was privaleged to pledge for the premium tickets at the Taj in AC with the meet and greet and I am soooo excited! I will be working the phones in Wilkes Barre on Friday night and I sure hope I get the chance to meet you and the guys. I am driving 2 hours to get to the station.....needless to say my family thinks I am nuts, but not I of course! Thanks for all you do and for bringing such joy to us here in the states. Hope to see you on Friday!
Karen Flynn from NJ

Welcome to New Jersey!!

Hi Sharon! I cannot wait for tonight's PBS show with Keith and Neil. It sounds as if you are traveling with them. I hope you also make a special appearance on the show. I will definitely be watching & pledging! Safe travel.....

When will tour dates be posted?

Sharon,

CT will be performing in Everett, WA on 30 Oct I learned watching PBS. This is during football season and I have two sons who play American Football, one in college and one in high school. My eldest has a game that day on the other side of the mountains in WA. When will the tour schedule post so I can see if I can make it to a different show out here? Maybe Portland or with luck CT will perform a couple of nights again in western WA and I can catch them on a different date. This past year I was lucky to catch their first show in Seattle as it was during the week, the next day was Veteran's Day and being a Veteran (retired US Air Force) it was the perfect gift for me!

Hope the schedule posts soon! Thanks for all you do and am sure all the promos are going well, everyone I talk to loves these guys and their music, or maybe I'm just intimidating and/or convincing when I talk about them. CT is awesome and we'll just go with that!

Thanks a bunch,

Roberta

Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy

*sigh* Ryan and George will be in San Fransisco on Wednesday :big smile: Sometimes I thinks it's a crying shame that I do not possess the stalker gene *sigh* but I am looking forward to seeing them on TV.

I snaged tickets for Everett and the SF show so I really can't complain-well I can but no matter-if you have peeped into the pub lately you may have noticed that we are all as excited as Thunderheads can get Laughing out loud I just hope we can keep it together till the fall tour. Stare

Thanks to you Sharon and to those nice Celtic boys for keeping us in the loop Smile So far this is the best thrill ride I have ever been on-wait that's not quite right-this is one of the best thrill rides I have ever been on. Big smile Wink >^,,^<

Thanks

Thanks for all of your work and talent. So very many people enjoy Celtic Thunder and appreciate all that you and the GUYS do for your fans.

Paul and Damian were great on PBS Jacksonville, FL. Wish I had found out sooner but was able to see them after checking on Paul's site.

Last year my sister flew down from Richmond Virginia to Jacksonville, FL to give me a special Birthday Present, Celtic Thunder tickets. We had a BLAST and look forward to being with each other AGAIN in November. We don't get to see each other very often and this has become a wonderful tradition. The music and antics are so uplifting and just plain FUN. I bought her a copy of the first Celtic Thunder DVD a couple of years ago after I watched it on PBS and she got hooked. She told me that she was more excited coming to see them last year than she was when she went to see the Beatles!!! That's some vote of confidence. Thanks again for all that ALL of you do.

PS: Is the pre-show meet and greet available other than through PBS? That price could pretty steep for many.

Ryan and George were

Ryan and George were fantastic here in Seattle/Tacoma!!!!! Watched them on TV both times!!! But it was really quite a treat to hear Ryan sing "Everything I Do I Do It For You" for the first time Laughing out loud Pretty awsome!!!! Laughing out loud

MPT

Good morning, Sharon. You are a master planner to be able pull off all of these PBS stops. Fans everywhere appreciate all you do to keep Celtic Thunder moving along. We really appreciated and enjoyed the Baltimore stop last night. It was good to see Neil "Up close and Personal". He is almost as "adorable" as Damian, though Damian will always hold that title for me. Will re-watch the pledge breaks many times. Give everyone our love and keep everyone healthy. October 15th in Baltimore is on the kitchen calendar. See you there. MLD

Syracuse

Sharon - Looks like Syracuse does not get a visit. Some sobbing here. Really had hoped that Keith and Neil would make it here. Guess I have to settle for what you taped in Chicago. Someday I will get to meet some of CT.

IT'S ENTERTAINMENT

IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT ON MARCH 4 ON PBS NH WOOOO HOOO I HAVE THE DVD AND CD HAVE WATCHED IT EVERY DAY OMG THESE GUYS GET BETTER ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!! SHARON THANKS FOR SHARING SUCH TALENT WITH THE WORLD. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEY COME TO THE MAINE AREA OR NH I WILL BE THERE IN THE FRONT ROW A TRUE THUNDERHEAD. AND ADDING NEIL TO THE GROUP SINGING IS PURE GENIUS CELTIC THUNDER YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone update the Live PBS Schedule?

Sharon, thank you for keeping us up to date on how things are progressing! Very awesome! Below are some updates that I'm aware of as of '2/26 afternoon' that everyone may or may not currently have on their RADAR. I've been calling my local stations since 2/10 because I'd like to PLEDGE and set my DVR to RECORD any live broadcasts since I travel a good bit.

1) WTVI has still been awaiting confirmation of levels, etc. for several weeks from the promoters. They did talk to them at the end of last week, and apparently due to scheduling and such, the decision was made the guys may come back in June to do some taping...I'm assuming this may have something to do with 3/10 date being moved to UNC-TV instead?? Also, WTVI was originally told the concert was targeted for 11/18, but no venue has been scheduled...I've been staying tuned to pledge for this one. That's unfortunate because the guys will be just 2 hours away to do this next week. However, I'm not giving up hope that we may get surprised since I don't see Maryland was on the schedule for tonight.
2) For 3/5, the guys are actually confirmed for Wilkes Barre PA; not WTVI.
3) For 3/11, the Richmond volunteer coordinator indicated the guys are not coming by the station.

Best Regards

Wilkes Barre

Hi Brenda,
Do you know for sure whether Keith and Neil will be at WVIA in Wilkes Barre on Friday 3/5? I was going to possibly volunteer the phones. That would be a plus!!!
Thanks!
Karen

WVIA in Wilkes Barre

Hi Karen - The schedule on the HOME page says Charlotte & Wilkes Barre on 3/5, so I called WTVI-Charlotte and per the volunteer coordinator there are no visits scheduled. I was still curious so I looked up WVIA-Wilkes Barre on the PBS site, and their site says Keith & Neil will be there at 8 p.m.

Call the station to confirm ASAP, but the guys can't be at both places the same day traveling by bus.
http://www.wvia.org/ (see slide)

You guys are so lucky - I found myspace pics that showed Ryan & George were there last time! Enjoy!

Wilkes Barre

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for getting back to me! The station did say they will be in Wilkes on Friday the 5th. Have you ever volunteered to work the phones at these events? I think I may just faint!!! This is crazy. I wonder how I can find out if any thunderheads are also going to be there. I am going alone so I would love to be able to converse with someone first. Nice chatting with you!
Karen

Wilkes Barre

Karen, No, so far the opportunity has not been available for me when I inquired. But, I certainly wanted to this year because it's my understanding they may not be back in 2011, so I've been desperately trying for 3 weeks to get on the list. Needless to say, I'm bummed; however, I was able to purchase one set of MGs for Nov. The guys's excitement is contagious & I'm hopeful 'ALL OF THEM' will drop in the reception prior to the concert! PLEASE!! My cousin works in a broadcast department at a college in NC & I saw CT's spring tour on their website last March 2009 & that is how I became acquainted with them. I had friends that like Celtic Woman, so I told them about Celtic Thunder & off to a concert we went a week later in SC! The pbs stations are telling me not to fret because CT will be back to the states like CW does because they love their fans. For now, I'll keep my fingers crossed that I'll get to meet them one day.

Good luck to you this week - hope you get to meet Keith, Neil & Sharon on Friday...I hear they're wonderful! I'm with you on the fainting! I keep thinking that I would faint too, but I have some questions ready so that will help!!

Syracuse

Sure wish Neil and Keith were going to make it to Syracuse. WCNY in Syracuse is broadcasting it twice. Please send them to see us.

Sharon, Thanks sooo much for

Sharon,
Thanks sooo much for keeping us all informed. You do such an amazing job! Hope you get some down time and have the chance to enjoy some sights. CT is the best.
