Hello,
Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes. I'd a lovely day, did a few things I wanted to do, took time for myself. Then went for a lovely meal and out for drinks afterwards.
Left the pub not long before 5am on Saturday morning so just spent yesterday vegging on the couch watching movies. Lovely time!
Chaos all over with flights. My kids are due to fly back to school today, won't be happening!
Don't mind my flights getting messed up, hate when it's the kids. Alex is in London, he had a rugby match there at the weekend. Matthew is in Kenya and stuck there. Dudley is in Capetown and stuck there.
Have to say, Alex is getting the ferry back to Ireland from Wales so he'll be fine. The other two are not that concerned at not being able to get back to school for another few days!
Dudley has been sky diving out in Africa, dragged his Dad (who has vertigo along!) but they both loved it once they did it and are planning a bungee jump today off a bridge out on the Garden route in Sth Africa. Matt is wake boarding so they really don't seem at all perturbed by the travel chaos!
Being an "Act of God" it's probably going to cost me a fortune in new flights for everyone!
But it's Sunday, so other than trying to reach them all to chat today, I'm taking it easy

As long as you trust in them, they will be fine!!!
Happy Belated Birthday
Hi Sharon, well hope you had a wonderful birthday. I miss so much when I am not on here daily, which I never am, just don't have the oomph to open the computer every day. You sure have the family travelling the world, wow! I am feeling sorry for all those that are stuck because of the falling ashes floating in the air from the volcano. Travellers must be so fed up!
Take care and hope all is well with the CT lads, they have some time before they have to rev up for the Fall tour. Exciting as we have Celtic Woman coming to my Casino Rama as well...wish you and the boys were first!
Cheers. Kathie
Paul...
Hi Sharon,
Glad you had a great Birthday. You should meet up with Paul since he is stuck in Boston until next Monday. Take Care.
All's well
Hi Sharon:
Happy belated birthday. Sounds like you have had your hands full. Nothing that you can't handle though.
As I've always told my kids, today is a new day with no mistakes made in it yet and there's always something good that comes out of something bad. I live my life by these statements. I'm sure your son's are having a great time and when they return home will have some wonderful stories to tell. Once a mom, always a mom. Glad to hear you took it easy. If anyone deserves a break it's you.
Take care one and all

at least Declan, Dudley and Matthew are all on the same continent and can meet up eventually if they need to. This volcano really has shown that even with today's technology there are still things that are out of our control.

Hi, Sharon,
Really, all I can say about this whole situation with the volcanic ash is that maybe God is laughing and saying, "Guess WHO is REALLY in charge here!" LOL!
All will be well soon enough. Hope you are watching the Country Music Awards show to take your mind off of all the things needing to be done! Safe journey home for the boys!
Cheers!

Amazing how flexible the kids can be!
Hi Sharon! Happy you enjoyed your birthday week-end. As for the boys, there is absolutely nothing you can do about the "Act of God". Many people are in the same sticky situation. Everything will work out ~ hopefully sooner than later. Keep your feet up and have a nice cup of tea. (or something stronger! LOL)
Sharon: Glad to hear you
Sharon: Glad to hear you took time for yourself to enjoy your special day Fri(& Sat). My cousin is stuck in Greece and says he doesn't know when he'll get back to Cape Breton. As for one of your sons and husband bungee jumping, my nephew lived in Australia for 2 years and that was something he always wanted to try. He did and that was that. He loved it. He is an adventurous guy to try anything atleast once. Never tried ski-diving (YET). Glad to know that all your sons are safe and I'm sure in a couple of days time, all the world will be right again. Keep an extra cot out--just incase Paul comes aknockin at your door. Oh yes, my nephew now is teaching in Quito, Equador and said if Celtic Thunder will go there, he'll round up everyone to fill an auditorium. (Just a thought) Enjoy the rest of your day.
Flight Chaos Indeed!
Your right Sharon, that's real flight chaos in your family!
. Enjoy the rest of your sunday!
My flight chaos is that my Bergen, Billund and Newcastle flights got cancelled this weekend and I had an unexpected weekend off... Not complaining with this lovely weather here in The Netherlands but for KLM, my company's, sake I hope the air/ash cloud situation will get better soon!
Glad to hear you had a wonderfull birthday and weekend so far
Looking forward to, hopefully, some June Canadian dates later this week
Janneke.
What's a mom to do? :)
My goodness Sharon, all that chaos and so little that can be done. Knowing that all the boys are safe and still having a good time is all that matters right now, I'm sure you'd agree.
Add to that fact that Paul is stuck in Chicago. You might end up with some unexpected company!
Good to hear that you had a wonderful birthday celebration and are taking some time to relax today. Enjoy and have a wonderful day. As they say, this too shall pass.

Love will always be the answer......not the question.

My Goodness, All of that
My Goodness, All of that should occupy your time for awhile. since you are a "doer" sure you can deal with it..
as for the birthday, remember those days well, don't do them anymore though, something about reaching the sixties
puts a whole new perspective on some things ( miss them though, I must admit lol ). Hope your day goes well for you
Travel chaos
Sorry to hear of the travel troubles. I'm sure a few extra days on holiday won't bother your menfolk! It surely wouldn't bother me! Hope you and everyone else in the family get to where you/they need to be very soon. Glad you had a nice birthday! You're so busy it's good you took a bit of time out for yourself! Thanks for all you do! You're a real peach!
Love ya!
