Just saying hi
Hey Keith,
Celtic Thunder is great, I love the songs you guys sing, and the passion you put into them. Though I've only been a fan of you guys for a short while, I can see how dedicated you are to your fans and the great work you have done so far.
I just want to wish you guys luck on your 2011 tour, I hope I get to come to one of your shows, I've never been to one, so that would be awesome. Have a great and safe 2011.
I'm a big fan of yours and I just wanted to say you are an amazing singer.
You're Simply the Best!
I was watching you last night (12/19/10) on WQED in Pittsburgh, Pa. Your show was absolutely awesome! I had recorded you last year when you were on WQED, and I hadn't seen that video for a while. I guess that it slipped my mind.
Since last year, I joined Sweet Adelines which is a women's barbershop chorus. It has been fantastic! I have loved singing all my life, but never thought I was good enough to sing with anyone. I have a whole new appreciation for what you do.
We will be getting ready for competition next spring and just learning two songs is a ton of hard work. I can't even imagine how hard you work besides being away from home. I'm sure it isn't always glamorous, but you have to love it to work that hard.
I would absolutely love to sing to an audience that is that animated. You do feed off their response. We sing without backup music so that part is a bit different. The band really gets you pumped up. I performed once in a band, and it was a real joy. What a rush of adrenaline!
Keep up all the hard work because it sure is paying off. What you all do is miraculous! When your show was over last night, I cried because I just didn't want it to stop! Now that's entertainment!
Love and best wishes to you all. Enjoy being home and enjoy the holidays. May 2011 be filled with joy and love.
Carol
Busy, Busy ,Busy

You ability to put across a song has grown and matured over the past years and I see you as wonderfully talented performer.I expecially love "All I want for Christmas is you". Here's hoping you will hve the wonderful and blessed Christmas and happy new year. I will be watching for you and the lads to appear on various TV interviews and, hopefully on QVC again. waiting anxiously for the next tour. Hugs and love, Diane
December 8th
The chances of you reading this are slim to none, but if you do...thank you. On December 8th I saw Celtic Thunder in Rochester. It was perfect. Words can't explain what an amazing concert it was, and I will never forget it.
-From the girl in white.
Happy Holidays
Keith, Hope you read these even tho you haven't sent a blog in awhile. Hope you have a great holiday at home and enjoy your time not touring. Will look forward to your tour of the States next year. Happy Holidays.
Snoboarding
There's no boarding like snoboarding......Don't you go breaking your neck over there in Montreal.
Have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year.

RE: New Fan
OK Keith, I have really just fallen in love with ur group during the Christmas special on PBS. All of the guys are wonderful & express all of the songs in a way I have never heard them. Even though I do love the group, I hope u will not be affended if I tell u, as a mom & gmother, u r my "FAV". My main bloodline from both sides of my family is mainly Irish. This is one country that I have always wanted to visit. But back to u, keep on doing what ur doing my man...u r awesome!! LOL Karen
One more hour!!!
I can't believe it only an hour till my mom and me go to se you and the rest of CEltic Thunder in Providence!!
Have a great time!!
See you there!!
Christmas Lights!
Dear Keith,
since you will be heading back to your shore in Ireland...and your surf generated Christmas Lights reminescent of Planet Mechanic I put this poem over for ya to read: enjoy...
Christmas Lights
by Merrily Ann McCarthy
Christmas Lights
This poem is dedicated
To Huntington Boulevard
In Fresno, California.
Oh what a wonderful celebration
Of holiday cheer,
Down Huntington Boulevard.
We will meet you there
To feel the joy of the Christmas lights,
Decorations designating the year.
Strings of lights are everywhere,
Neatly decorating the houses
Whispering to the crisp air
In delicate twinkles of vivid green
Or bejeweled bombardments of thickness,
And heavenly hung snowy brights.
Lights are strung and hung on eaves
Around Santas, Elves, and Angels
Boxes, and Doe-eyed Reindeer.
Entwined amidst the scattering leaves
Tightly strung in a winters sneeze
On evergreen boughs...
In tendrils coiled like ice cycle hair
Looped, swirled and divinely
Preened
Ready for eager Christmas Queens
As edgings along a balanced walk
As icing dribbled down a gingerbread door
As a glittering golden star atop a tall fur tree
As a NOEL splished on a Red Berry Bush
Or "God Bless Our Troops"
Spelled out on the roof
(One days free labor of love in lights.)
For our God to see
And for our people
Whose Christmas spirits shine
From our hearts,
Brighter than all the lights
Strung in every yard
On Hungtington Boulevard.
Have a Merrily Christmas: don't forget us in Yosemite National Park. One of my married friends "longboards" round the 8 mile Yosemite Valley loop and he is waiting to break out his board and take you on a spin...now, this route has multiple loopy hillies and is most the crac to swoosh and spill.
DVD and Halifax Visit
Hello Keith. Christmas video was great!! Sorry we didn't not get time to chat in Halifax in Sept, after the concert. I would have loved to chat about your side of the Harkin's. I know we meet briefly in Ballyliffin as you were heading into The Strand Hotel, a place that use to be owned by Brian Harkin? any relation to you.
I was hoping that Sen. Tom Harkin of Iowa would get to one of the concerts as his ancestors are from Buncrana, out by Desertgney.
I hope the next time the group come this way, they will take in Sydney, Nova Scotia as they a steeped in Irish and Scottish music.
Take Care
Bosco Harkin
PS is your address still the same in Muff?
Hey Kieth!!
Well today is October 3rd and its probably your last week of this tour...
but i know that the concert im going to in providence(4 more days!!)is going to the best ever!
hope you guys have a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Denver Concert Oct. 26.
Great concert. Denver always enjoys CT. The surfing songs you sang were great. Unfortunately, (due to age :
)I remember those well and really enjoyed your singing and guitar playing. You are super at both. I so enjoy all the songs you do. You are a real asset to the group. This season, you, Neil and Ryan do wonder on Hallelujah. Keep up spreading the joy and making the world a better place to live in with your music. Hope to see you in Denver again in 2011.
Octorber 26th concert
This was an amazing concert! I love surfin the u.s.a.! talk to you soon!
xoxo,
Amanda
Surfing in Oregon
It looks like you schedule while in the Pacific Northwest is quite busy, Keith, but if you have an extra moment, surfing on the Oregon coast will remind you an awful lot like surfing off the coast of Donegal.
I will be attending your concert in Eugene on Oct. 29th with my two granddaughters. We saw your show in Portland last fall and just had to go again.
I know that you moved recently to County Donegal. I have been to the area with my husband's family originating from Carndonagh. Beautiful country!! Hope to go back again soon.
Take care
Peggy O'Donnell
Hershey, PA concert
Keith, I don't know when I have ever enjoyed myself as much as I did last night at the Hershey, PA Theatre, 10/13/10, listening to you guys singing. I traveled from West Virginia, just to be able to see Celtic Perform, By the way, love the new hair do.

Reading PA Oct 10, 2010
I finally got to see Celtic Thunder for the first time at Reading on Oct 10, 2:30 show. I took my mother and 8 year old son and it was amazing!!!!! Keith I was the one that yelled I LOVE YOU before you sang I Want To Know What Love Is!!!!! I am a fan for life!! You are amazing!!!!
Reading
My husband and I were at your Reading show and it was unbelievable. What a terrific job!!!!
Your music makes me feel happy and calm after what the world throws at you.
Keep up the great work - you are becoming big stars. The very best of luck to all of you.
Reading, PA shows
Just wanted to say that I went to both shows in Reading and I will never forget that day. I left the first show and bought a ticket for the second show right away. Second show was definitely better and you were amazing! I really love to watch you play the guitar. On the acoustic, it brings a calming sense and on the electric you let it all hang out. You seem to enjoy that so much and it makes you happy.
I am getting used to the new hairdo. The other one made you look like the surfer boy you are but this one makes you look more sophisticated. I actually like both of them, just took me sitting through the two shows to get a feel for the new look. But as they say, it's only hair and if you don't like it, it'll grow back.
Hope you guys will come back again next year and maybe they'll put you in the bigger arena. That one is small but it did feel rather homey!
Enjoy the rest of the tour!
Boston
We saw you in Boston on the 9th at the 2:30 show. We were a group of ten. We were all surprised by your new haircut - we thought maybe it wasn't you for a few minutes - then we heard your voice and knew it was you!
It was a great show. We all had fun singing and screaming for you all! My daughter Emily loves Damien and her twin sister Megan loves Paul. I love your rendition of the homes of Donegal and missed it at this show.
Can't wait to get the Christmas album! Have a great tour and come back to Boston soon!
Soooooo jealous
Ahhhhhhhhh!! I keep on hearing about how awesome all the live conserts were, yet your Australian fans are so sad. I think were all hopeing and begging you guys are going to tour soon, i promise ill be in the front row! Ive seen all your videos and starting a collection of all your dvds/cds. Keep up the good work, and dont strain your voice!!! Thats an order!

Concert 10/1 Radio City Music Hall, NYCity
It was a birthday present and my first concert! I brought along my daughter (25) and now she and I share something special! The seats were awsome and right up front in the orchestra. It was great to see and enjoy your show up close and personal, my DVD's are just about worn out! Now I have to share them with my daughter. It was great to hear some of the new songs. The show seemed so short for me, I could have sat for a few more hours! Looking forward to hearing more and more. You guys are one step away from the top!!
We love and support you guys. Arlene
Looking forward to Charlotte, NC show
My mother and I are counting down the days until CT comes to Charlotte, NC. Looking forward to seeing the show. You're my favorite and Ryan is my mother's favorite, so we're so excited to finally get to a live show instead of watching on TV & PC. God bless you and the others and stay safe while touring!

Darn it! I can never get tickets because they are to expensive and I have to save up for college.
Oh well, at least I can listen to songs on YouTube.

Paddle. Stand. Lift. Pose. In a nutshell, that’s tandem surfing. Of course, a lot goes in to the eye-catching sport.
“It’s two people, usually a man and woman, riding together on a surfboard,” said Jaci Remrey of Cocoa Beach. “You catch a wave, he lifts her in the air, and she hopefully poses gracefully. “They call it ‘dancing on water.’ ”
In a way, tandem surfing resembles pairs figure skating, without the ice and ice skates, but with plenty of lifting, poise and balance — while you’re standing on a surfboard riding waves.
This Labor Day weekend, there will be plenty of opportunity to watch at the 25th annual National Kidney Foundation Pro-Am surf festival. The event takes place at the Cocoa Beach Pier.
There will be areas set up for the pro and amateur surfing, as well as the fancier, flashier tandem surfing.
Remrey, 59, and her tandem surf partner, Dr. Lance Maki of Merritt Island, 63, will compete this weekend. They have been training at the pier for the festival since the spring, Remrey said. They take gymnastics and ballet. They even have a lift coach.
“It’s a lot of dedication, a lot of sacrifice,” she said. “But I’m having fun.”
Remrey said she started surfing when she was 55 and learned to tandem surf at 57. She rides a dark pink surfboard, a gift from her grandkids, that reads, “Go Granny Go.”
“We let people know, if you want to do something, you can,” Remrey said. “It’s changed my life.”
Her advice for anyone who might want to “paddle, stand, lift, pose?”
“The man has to be a good surfer. And strong,” Remrey said. “The girl has to have no fear. And trust.”
In addition to the surfing, the festival features family-friendly entertainment Saturday through Monday with giveaways, shaved ice, karate demonstrations, face painting, surf lessons and massages on the beach. A surfer registration party starts at 6 tonight at the Cocoa Beach Surf Co. Taste of Brevard, a fundraiser party at nearby Doubletree Resort, is set for Sunday night. Awards will be given to the best surfers from the festival — tandem, amateur and pro — on Monday.

My blog to Donaldson. Your Losses
Submitted by Valerie Anne Eb... on Thu, 09/02/2010 - 01:36.
Mr. Donaldson:
9/1/2010:
I know the pain of such a loss. Those loved ones have taken new forms and no longer have any need of their earthly forms anymore. You and your family need them, and they need you and your family. Only the Lord knows what form the meeting of those needs, on both sides, will take. I say this to comfort only, as that is all that I am able to do, other than pray. From The Bible, may the Lord give you and your family the words, you all need, for your healing here. The loved ones of you and your family, have, as the Native Americans say, taken the forms of the ghosts, living in another dimention, which God also rules, just as He rules this realm.
Through my PBS station, in the D/FW Metro Area or Dallas, I was exposed to CT, and though I wish to support PBS and National Public Radio and see and hear more of CT, I cannot always afford to do so. When I have done so, I have caused controversy, within my own family, which is wrong, just as not helping PBS is wrong. For listening to your music, I buy the CD's, when I can find them, shelved, in one of my local stores, in Cedar Hill or the cities, which surround Cedar Hill, when and if I can. I do not mention the CD, I hunt for, to my brother, because I know that he will take it from the web, without giving CT anything, which is something, I cannot abide in and will not do, because it is wrong. Correcting any damage, from such a thing, would be next to impossible, for me, here. You and your colleagues make a living, producing those items, and I wish to give you something for the production of those items, which meet my needs, as they do. I have passed your name on to others, who have not seen or heard of you, as I have and PBS also. I cannot, due to my physical disabilities, be an employee or a volunteer for PBS either, as I cannot drive a car, and as it causes still more controversy for my family. This is all I can do. I am sorry.
Ebensberger.

9/1/2010:
I am glad that your gig went as well as you have said. I am here, in DFW or Dallas. You are free to read the blog, I sent to Donaldson, if and when he cares to share it, with you, on CT's website. I am glad that you and Mr. Kelly came to KERA and spoke, with the female, with the lisp and the British accent, whose name, escapes me, at the moment. I believe her name was Sheila Cadand or something like that. I hope that the train, the plane and the motor carriages took you to your intended destination, safely. Thank you for your blog.
I am eager to see and to hear your sister. Can you not register her, with Celtic Woman or something? I am sure that PBS would carry her music, just as they do your music, giving her a wider audience base. On PBS, I have heard Sarah Brightman and Sarah McGlaughlin and Torrie Amos sing, so why not Rebecca Harkin too? I suggest this to help, as, I can do nothing else for her or for you, save pray.
Ebensberger.
Can't wait til October
Can't wait til October 1st!!!My whole family is coming to see you guys at RC.

Just stopping by to say hello. My second eldest daughter is awaiting her the arrival of her first guitar. I walked into Sam Asch in NY city and was like wow!!! Saw the one she chose and it reminded me of you. Now I can see how muscians find instruments so beautiful!!! She chose a beautiful blue electric/ acoustic Ibanez and if she ever wants to give it away, I'll be first in line. Of course, I'd have to learn how to play. But "NO Problem, I'll make the sacrifice.
Best wishes and enjoy the upcoming engagements
A fan from NY,
Leonora
Hello!
You told me to say hello, so I did my darndest not to let you down. I'm from Canada, and looking forward to your show at the Hamilton Place Theatre in September. I'm going to be starting university in the fall, and hopefully I don't have too much homework for that weekend.
. Let's see, what else? I'm not really a blogger, but I decided to give it a shot. I don't really follow CT on twitter, but I do on Facebook. I come on the CT website here a few times a month to see whats kicking around (also how I found out about your Canadian stops for your It's Entertainment Tour)
I've seen all the videos of you guys on Youtube, made a special playlist for myself. I still need to get two of your CDs, the most recent two, and maybe a DVD here or there.
I really hope you're enjoying the tour and hope to someday see you perform on your own turf in Ireland.
Bye for now,
Kmsewell from Canada!
Your Fan Jess
Hey I am a huge Celtic Thunder fan, but my fav is Mr.Keith Harkin. I am gong to your show in Houston TX in Nov. I'm so excited. I just cant wait.I'm pushing a surgery back just so I can see your concert.
A HUGE THANK YOU FROM NATALIE's MOM!!
Dear Keith...
Am trying to cover all my basis posting notes on myspace, this blog and your forum in hopes that we can express to you how much your on-air phone call to Natalie in Charlotte meant to her last night!! She took the tape to school today to show to her class and they all fell in love with you... told you that you have now replaced Zac Efron on her walls (may not know who he is but was a big Disney star and is now about your age) and she told me that you now top the Jonas Bros on her list... so for an 8 year old that's saying a lot here in the US of A....
It is the special touch that you give to your fans that means so much and I pray that when you hit the big time and you become a world famous solo artist - (as if you aren't already:}) that you keep that sweet family lovin' Irish guy inside of you... and we will be eagerly following your career all the way!!!
Looking forward to the show in Charlotte and hoping to meet you at the M&G ( although Natalie is leaning towards wanting to meet Damo:}
Anway, thanks again from the bottom of our hearts!
Kerry Hamlen (and Natalie)
PS We'll be looking for the next big song called Natalie and I... :}
KEITH! HI
Hey there! Hope all is well Mr. Keith Harkin! Stay yourself and keep on smiling!
hello
been a fan for a while. just wandering when you all will be doing more Celtic folklore music. Not to say most of all you music isn't wonderful. but of all the songs, folklore is my all time favorite. the mountain is the song i wake up with every morning for work. it's on of those songs that hit deep in the soul.
New Fan
Hi there!
I was just introduced to your music by a friend online, and have been listening to a few on you tube. Your guys are awesome! I see you'll be in Phoenix, Arizona in November, however the Dodge Theater is not very welcoming in their "seating" to us "fluffy" gals in life, lol. But maybe next year you'll be in a different venue here and I can come hear you. BUT, I will purchase a cd next time at the store.
Keep up the beautiful sound, and have a great tour!
Mari
Ahh, if only there was a
Ahh, if only there was a "Glasgowbury" somewhere here in the States...preferably the western part of the States
You'd have more of us cheering you on and having a blast than you would know what to do with.
AND...how great is it that you are branching out with your photography! Can't wait to see what I will "have to have" for my wall.
hey
im so glad you had fun at Glasgowbury...it sounded fun, wish i was there, i love your sister she is an incredible singer much like yourself, keep it up<3
Keith:Sorry--wasn't able to
Keith:Sorry--wasn't able to attend Glasgowbury Festival in person but did see video of some of the songs that were performed. really enjoyed "All Day Long" and "I Wish"--Love the beat to them. You certainly do write touching songs. Keep it up.
Glasgowbury 2010
Glasgowbury 2010 sounded like it was lots of fun! Unfortanetly, (or how ever you spell it?!?!?!), I was unable to be there but i saw tons of vids.
It looked like everyone there did have a blast.
Maybe next year!
