Problems with getting tickets - August 30, 2010
Hi,
Can you please let me know if the tickets for the date you want are not available on sale by now?
Erie, Fort Wayne, Providence, Rochester & Binghamton are all going up soon but everything else should be on sale now so please let us know if you have not been able to buy them.
Great response to pre-sale to fans of Christmas Filming tickets 564 sold already, place holds 3000 so loads of good seats left for those interested.

Hi Sharon, you asked if any problems getting tickets. Bought ticket to Christmas taping as soon as available. Got section 102 row J. Just yesterday, saw offering of seats section 103 row G seat 5. what is going on. not fair if they are holding back seatings to show. most CT fans try to purchase tickets asap to get best seats. is the secret now to wait a few weeks and better seats will be available. I notice on the official Tour list that the PBS stations for the Charlotte show (WTVI)and also the Charleston show (SCETV) are not shown...both of these have good seats available.

I also ended up with Row M and went on right as it opened. Not happy that people are now getting better seats. Not fun.
Christmas Taping
Bought my tickets for the taping last week (8/25) but am now rather upset. When purchasing I requested Best Seats Available, Any Price, Any Section and was sold Section 103, Row M, Seats 13-15. Was thrilled - only 13 rows from stage -- then today a friend of mine wanted to purchase tickets - requested Best Seats Available, Any Price, Any Section and was given Section 103, ROW D, Seats 7-9. WOW a week later and the seats are 9 rows CLOSER to the stage and seats more centered! I know this is not your fault, but thought you should know that venues are doing this. Another friend who tried to purchase the day after I bought mine was given ROW W as best available and decided NOT to purchase because she wanted to be closer to the stage. Lost sales are never good. But even though I'm not happy about my seats any longer I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SHOW!!!!

that is what they do to folks. Your best bet is to call the venue and buy your tickets there. I know at the Toronto taping those "good" seats that were not yet sold were available to be upgraded. So they open great blocks of seats then they open not so great blocks of seats. I know when I went online within 10-15 minutes of the Toronto tapiing going on sale I was told by the website that day 2 was none available and to try a scalper site. Well I bought the tix for the first day and then when I got there of course they still had seats for the day 2 show and I stayed again since it was over 500 miles and I drove the whole way. I even think that the really bad seats that i had at the second show were good in the end, though you could not see the fellas well the sound was amazing. Way better than close up. when your close up you can actually hear them singing without the mic's and sounds different still good just different.

my son ordered a ticket for me as soon as they became available. Same situation as you-any price,best seat. I'm in row 102 row J. can't figure what is going on. Really wanted at least 1,2,3rd rows center or side. BUT happy to be going.

I went on line & made the donation required for 2 front row tickets + Meet & Brows. received answer back on e-mail saying see you @ the SHOW. I can't pull this PBS station on TV I phoned to ask when I would received tickets to be informed I did not have tickets. Explaination-on TV pledges came first & when they received mine all tickets were gone. They charged my card and I explained I could not enjoy their PBS station they gracely put through a credit. I told Dawn on the phone I really wanted to be @ the show & meet & greet but I thanked her for being so thoughtful. She said if they receive any more tickets she would call me. (THE BEST MADE PLANS OF MICE & MAN) HA! tm

Could you please let us know about Utica NY? Don't want to buy a non-refundable airline ticket if CT is cancelling this concert. It is still on the schedule to win tickets/airfare thru the website. Thanks!!

This date isn't happening, as Nassau Coliseum didn't get confirmed it wasn't worth keeping all cast and crew, trucks, buses etc out for 3 more days.

So very disappointed that there is no show in Utica, it is the closest to me and WCNY is easy to work with for tickets. I am headed to five other shows, but really wanted that one. Wish you would do just one more date in Central NY.

Detroit tickets
Hi, Sharon. I was able to secure GREAT seats for the Detroit show!!! The Ticket Master has opened the sales earlier than previuosly posted. I look forward to seeing you all there. I have PRIMO seats!!! Nothing between me and the gentlemen but floor!!!!
West Point
The season ticket holders have reserved tickets for this preformance but the tickets for us should be up soon. This looks to be the cadets big homecoming show so I think the cadets and family get upgraded seating also. Hope there will be some left for the thunderheads. This is a gigantic hall so it should be ok for us golly we waited long enough for this to be up and running didn't we???? Judi

No problems getting tickets for Portland, OR and Chicago. Still waiting anxiously for my tickets from NHPTV (for Manchester, NH) and WGBH (Boston). I am one of the Christmas taping people and can't wait to see that and to be there with everyone. Thanks, again, Sharon for all you do and for your concerns about us fans.

No problems here Sharon. Got our tickets for the Christmas taping and waiting for my Radio City tickets to come in the mail from WLIW so I can see where my seats are. The only question I have is when I entered the contest they listed a show on December 11th at Nassau Colliseum and I have not seen that stop on the tour anywhere else????? So excited about the 2 shows I have so far. Thanks, Marianne (Long Island)

West Point--Eisenhower Hall

Thank you for keeping us up-to-date on all of the concert ticket sales. I will be traveling to NY in October and would like to see the concert at Eisenhower Hall. I have been "haunting" the Ike Hall website and it is posted that ticket sales begin on 9/20. Will there be any pre-public sale times for CT fans? Or do you have any further details regarding the ticket sales for this venue? Any help will be most appreciated.

Sharon: I so wish I could support the Lads when they do their Christmas taping but I had already bought tickets for the Halifax, show and then again in Boston at the Wang Theatre--Matinee AND Evening Shows. I will certainly be there in spirit Sept. 17th.

Sharon BIG problem here. Been looking online and many other places are still selling the Grand Rapdis Michigan date 12-1-10 but you have replaced it on the roster for Ft Wayne!!! that is bad stuff if other sites are still trying to sell tickets for a show that you do not plan on having....

Is Ticketmaster selling Grand Rapids? That and the venues - and possibly the venue's ticket seller if they do not use Ticketmaster are the only official ticket retailers any other place selling tickets are selling tickets illegally, yes they should stop and we have warned fans.

Grand Rapids
They just need to put Grand Rapids back on the schedule. Personally I have about 20 folks willing to come to he show that I know but they cannot afford the cost of traveling to Detroit and taking a day off work to do so either. When the full list came out and Grand Rapids was on it for Dec 1 they were almost as overjoyed as I was. Now I don't know if any of them will be able to travel so far to see the show. To some folks it seems like just a couple hours but it is longer than that and on top of it they always come at the begining of the month and I like many of my friends cannot take off work at that time of the month as that is when all the FEDERAL numbers are due. And no somebody else cannot do it. So sad as it is and as much as I love seeing this show and I have not missed a single show since they started touring. I even traveled to Canada for that "STORM" taping and got my car totaled in the process! So all the anticipation that was built up is now gone since for whatever reason they canceled the Grand Rapids show. I know that I am not the only person put out by this move and yes I get it they have to book more shows where they think they will make the most money, but I gotta tell ya the first and last time they were at the Van Andel Arena there was a really good turn out and It is a HUGE arena. So I figured they would not come back because it is so huge for them. But here we are they put it out there and then swoop took it away. I know that if the "street teams" were still working we could get the sales up. That and if WGVU advertised it better they would have a better sale. But since PBS does not want us doing that then I guess it is just word of mouth. And well it is just sad that the show we want to see is not going to be released no we as fans did not expect them to tour it, but it was a great show (storm) and the DVD sales would be super cause everyone wants to see all that they have to show. I guess it had to happen but I will finally miss a show. Oh well what is one fan in the grand scheme of things. Not much we can all see that.
